I began blogging at SaraHardmanTravels when I returned from my first major, solo backpacking trip.
After living and working in Sydney and Brisbane and spending two years travelling around Australia, Asia and Europe, I came home feeling lost and unsettled.
Writing travel posts about my adventures, sharing photos and guest blogging for travel websites was a real lifeline; it gave me the opportunity to feel like I was still on the open road even when I was firmly back in the real world.
I’ve been lucky enough to keep travelling while working – though the days of taking a spontaneous 24-month break are probably behind me. This time I’m hoping to share my journeys and the beauty of the world though my photographic artwork.
While travelling I mostly took photos on my broken camera phone but my love of the memories and the moments captured led me to try and restore the faded images back to the rich, colourful wonders that I saw through my eyes – as if they were paintings.
I have just created my first website where I am selling my work through Redbubble, an online store which allows artists the opportunity to sell their work on postcards, prints, posters and canvas.
If you like any of my travel photos, please visit my collection at http://www.SaraHardman.com, I’d love to see you there.
Thank you, as always.
