Uluru, Red Centre Photos

I took a flight out to Uluru (Ayers Rock) while I was living in Sydney. I spent three nights battling temperatures in the mid 40s to see the rock, complete an exhausting walk around the base and to experience a sunset came ride through the red dust.

It was an incredible weekend with unforgettable sights. I flew directly into the Ayers Rock resort rather than making the long drive from Alice Springs. Flying over mile after mile of uninhabited red land, which looked like the surface of the moon, before taxiing along in a hot dust cloud was one of the most exciting trips of my travels so far – read the blog post here

  1. Wonderful pictures Sara, this is somewhere I’d like to get to someday. The time to travel there and back is very onerous but I dare say worth it?

    1. Thank you, it was an incredible journey and well worth the travel, even for three nights. It was one of those places at the top of my wish-list and was even better than I’d hoped.
