Ever packed a bag, left home and the only thing you know for certain is that you’ll be away for a couple of years?

When The Guy asked me to guest post for flightsandfrustrations.com, there was only one story to tell… Flights and Anticipation – London to Melbourne. The journey that changed my life.

Stepping off the flight clutching a working holiday visa, 1 pair of jeans, 4 dresses, 5 bikinis and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire,  it could only go one of two ways.

“No friends, no place to stay, no clue how to get anywhere and still trying to squash the burning desire to just get knocked down and repatriated courtesy of the insurance I’d had to stump up for.”
